2026 NFL Draft Pro Day Report: UMass Minutemen
Seven former Minutemen made themselves available to a crowd of assembled scouts in late March ahead of the NFL Draft.
The UMass Minutemen, along with a host of other schools nearby, hosted several scouts for Pro Day activities at their indoor practice facility– as well as McGuirk Alumni Stadium– on March 25th, including some from the New England Patriots.
Amongst the prospects were seven former Minutemen– two of whom do not have complete scores.
For our reports, we’ve pulled raw numbers from both Draft Scout and RAS.football to populate RAS score cards. These cards are used with express written permission of RAS’ creator Kent Lee Platte.
LS Jovoni Borbon
Elevator Pitch:
Although relatively undersized for the position at five-foot-eight, Borbon is one of the more intriguing long snapper prospects in this draft cycle. Borbon played quarterback and defensive back in high school. His standout 2024 season at McNeese State earned him preseason All-American honors from Special Teams U. He ended his career with eight career tackles, four in his lone year at UMass.

While most corners make a name for themselves in the passing game, Malcolm Greene made plays in the backfield throughout his lengthy career, totaling 94 tackles, 8.5 tackles-for-loss and a pass break-up between Clemson, Virginia, and UMass.

WR Jake McConnachie
Elevator Pitch:
After three years on the sidelines at Pitt, Jake McConnachie finally got an opportunity at UMass. McConnachie caught 16 of his 17 career passes last year for 144 yards. McConnachie is a tall target at six-foot-four, but UMass did not use him much in the long passing game.
McConnachie had a solid showing at the Dream Bowl. His 37-inch vertical jump at his pro day combined with his height should put him on some teams’ radars as a low-risk, high-reward prospect.
Draft Projections:
- Lower-league tryout
Measurables (as of Pro Day)
- Height: six-foot-four

OL Ryan Mosesso
Elevator Pitch:
Mosesso was a stalwart on the UMass offensive line over the last two years, appearing in 23 games, rotating between left and right tackle in 2025 due to injuries. Mosesso has long been on pro scouts radars, appearing on the coveted Shrine Bowl 1000 before the 2025 season. His size projects him to moving inside as a guard at the professional level, but the versatility to play inside or out is a boost to the depth of any team which rosters him.
Draft Projections:
- Lower-league tryout
Measurables (as of Pro Day)
- Height: six-foot-four
- Weight: 300 lbs.
- Arms: 34 and one-eighths inches

OT Luke Painton
Elevator Pitch:
At six-foot-seven, 321 pounds, Luke Painton could be an enthralling developmental prospect. Painton began his career as a tight end at Columbia and recorded 35 receptions. He transitioned to the offensive line in his last two years in Manhattan before transferring and appearing in 10 games over the last two years at UMass.
Painton may not have the vast offensive line experience of other prospects, but college tight ends such as Jason Peters and Steve Maneri have seen lengthy careers in the NFL as offensive linemen. Former Central Michigan tackles Luke Goedeke and Bernhard Raimann also found success in the pros as late converts, so the footprint is certainly there. His inability to perform in from of scouts at UMass' pro day will be a deterrent, however.
Draft Projections:
- Lower-league tryout
Measurables (as of Pro Day)
- Height: six-foot-seven
- Weight: 321 lbs.
- Arms: 34 and three-eighths inches
- Hands: 9 and one-quarter inches
Skill Drills (numbers from Pro Day)
- 40-yard dash: N/A
- 10-yard split: N/A
- 20-yard split: N/A
- Shuttle: N/A
- Three-cone drill: N/A
- Vertical jump: 31 inches
- Broad jump: N/A
- Bench: N/A
Relative Athletic Score: N/A
RB Juwaun Price
Elevator Pitch:
Juwaun Price capped a lengthy, seven-year odyssey of a college football career at UMass, his fourth school, in 2025. He saw sparse time in a crowded backfield, running for 101 yards and catching five passes. For his career, Price ran for 1,284 yards and 11 touchdowns, and caught 41 passes for 264 yards.
However, his best chance at contributing at the next level will likely be on special teams. Price was an adept kick returner throughout his career, averaging 24 yards on 34 career returns. Price took one of those returns for a 94-yards touchdown. The NFL’s new kickoff benefits players like Price with a knack for finding creases in crowded areas.
Draft Projections:
- Mini-camp or lower-league roster
Measurables (as of Pro Day)
- Height: five-foot-ten
- Weight: 210 lbs.
- Arms: 30 and one-eighths inches
- Hands: 8 and three-quarters inches

- Three-cone drill: 7.34 seconds
- Vertical jump: 34 inches
- Broad jump: nine feet, ten inches
