About By The Belt

By The Belt is an independent publication launched in March 2026 by the former staff of Hustle Belt, which provided coverage of Mid-American Conference sports for over 15 years as part of the SB Nation banner.

At BTB, we put our passion and expertise on the page to create breaking news articles, game previews/recaps, analysis and opinion columns about all the happenings under the #MACtion umbrella.

Our hope at BTB is to create a place for all fans of the Best Little Conference in the Midwest to gather around and take pride in their shared love of #MACtion. Whether you're a freshman on campus, an alum who wants to keep track of their school or a total outsider, BTB hopes to scratch the itch.

Upon signing up, you'll get full access to the site, as well as email newsletters to update you whenever anything new publishes to our website. Your joining the site makes it all possible, and allows By The Belt to continue to exist.
